Ata Terra Completes Landmark Real Estate Acquisition from Equites Property Fund

29 April, 2025

Ata Terra, a subsidiary of Ata Private Equity and managed by Ata Capital, is pleased to announce the successful acquisition of a portfolio of prime logistics properties from Equites Property Fund, a JSE-listed Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) and specialist logistics developer.

The properties are strategically located within two premier logistics hubs: the Waterfall City Logistics Precinct and the Lords View Logistics Park. Each asset in the portfolio is underpinned by long-term lease agreements with blue-chip tenants, secured on a triple net lease basis—offering strong income visibility and minimal operational risk.

This acquisition marks a significant milestone for Ata Capital, representing the firm’s inaugural real estate investment and a meaningful step in its strategy to diversify into high-quality, yield-generating assets.

“This transaction is not only a testament to our commitment to value creation through strategic investments but also underscores our confidence in the long-term fundamentals of South Africa’s logistics and industrial property sectors,” said Lelo Rantloane, CEO at Ata Capital.

By investing in platforms like Ata Terra, Ata Capital continues to drive its mission of delivering long-term value while actively contributing to the transformation and advancement of Africa’s economic landscape.
