Ata Capital Celebrates Ten Years of Building Sustainable Businesses

JOHANNESBURG (02 February 2022) We are excited to celebrate our 10th anniversary, a milestone that reflects our commitment and contribution to the growth and transformation of African businesses and economies. We would like to extend our gratitude to our stakeholders and employees for their invaluable contributions to Ata Capital’s success and growth over the past decade.

Despite the challenges that we have faced – especially during the pandemic – we have remained committed to our twin purposes – namely, providing sustainable, transformational investment opportunities, and career advancement for investment professionals.

We have only been able to reach this milestone through our unwavering focus on excellence in every aspect of our service offering. Our talented team gives us good reason to be optimistic about the next ten years, and beyond.

Since 2021, our team of private equity professionals has successfully attracted and managed private and institutional capital to build representative businesses that grow economies. We are immensely proud to have enabled transformation in 22 investee companies including Spring Lights Gas, Masana Petroleum Solutions, Novasun, Jachris and Respiratory Care Africa, to name a few.

During our first decade, Ata Capital has also contributed to the upliftment of previously disadvantaged communities through educational initiatives. Through our contribution to the long-term sustainability of the Click Foundation, a non-profit that focuses on closing the gaps in education through technology, we contribute to the facilitation of online English literacy and Maths programmes for young learners.

We have come a long way since we opened our doors in 2012, and we can take justified pride in what we have been able to achieve through collaboration and teamwork. We truly believe that our staff are our greatest asset – in celebrating 10 years of excellence, we are in fact celebrating their individual and collective achievements here at Ata Capital.
